We recently traveled to Midland, Michigan to deliver over 400 reusable, washable, cotton masks to our friends at Shelterhouse. Shelterhouse is a nonprofit organization committed to providing safety, shelter, advocacy, and counseling to survivors of domestic violence and sexual assault in Midland and Gladwin counties.
The mask donations will go to Shelterhouse’s women and families in both Midland and Gladwin as well as Shelterhouse staff members to support their health and safety during Covid-19 as they try to rebuild their lives and homes after the devastation of the Midland flood. Governor Whitmore’s state mandate is still in full effect as wearing masks in public places is mandatory. By providing masks to these families, that is one less item they have to purchase as they struggle to rebuild their homes, purchase new clothes, furniture, and life necessities. We fully support Shelterhouse’s mission to provide refuge, hope, and healing… Today and every day.
