Community partnerships help us achieve our goals and help make the world a better place! Thank you to our community partners who are helping us with our 2019 Holiday Drives supporting children in need during the Holiday season. With help from sponsors, donors and community partners we are able to send gifts to 100+ children this Holiday season!

The GMF Kids Kicking Cancer Holiday Drive ran from November 16 – December 1, 2019. GMF community partners Ché Bella Salon of Rochester and Manduzzi Family Dentistry of Utica, Mi supported the drives with great participation and support! Efforts allowed us to deliver 10 gift baskets (each filled with a variety of wrapped toys, mittens, gloves, crafts and books) just in time for the Kids Kicking Cancer annual Holiday party. Thank you, partners and friends, for your generous donations!

2019 Kids Kicking Cancer Holiday Drive November 16 – December 1, 2019

Kids Kicking Cancer is a global organization dedicated to lowering the pain of children through the teaching of martial arts as a therapy.  Children learn breath work, meditation and traditional karate movements that empower them to teach others and thus gain purpose within their lives.  Their young cancer patients teach other children with challenging illnesses and even adults how to “breathe in the light and blow out the darkness”.  This has extended into the creation of a Heroes Circle program dedicated to lowering the pain of all children regardless of disease.

Through an evidence-based innovative program that merges modern integrative medicine with traditional martial arts, Kids Kicking Cancer’s Heroes Circle program addresses the overwhelming needs of children with illness. Specially trained black belt martial artists teach breathing, visualization, and relaxation techniques, in addition to traditional martial arts moves, to help empower the children and provide them with a sense of power, peace, and purpose.
