The Glamorous Moms Foundation consists of a group of professionals who understand the importance of helping others. The GMF Board of Directors, our Team Impact (teen volunteer group), and interns all volunteer their time and receive no salary or other monetary compensation.
Rachna Chandra is a mother of two and a Fashion designer for her clothing and shoe line, Taj Cottage INC. Rachna was born and raised in Agra (India) city of Taj Mahal. Graduated in bachelor of science and computers. Rachna has migrated in 1997 to United states with her husband and did her further education in Computer Information systems. Her husband works as a senior java architect at General Motors. Rachna has worked as a Faculty at Henry Ford College and spearheaded the industrial sewing program and taught the class for 3 years. She has also worked in designing soft trims for automotive industries. Her boutique Taj Cottage, is an Indian Bridal Boutique in Farmington Hills Michigan catering to all ethnicities since 2005. Rachna is very well known and connected in the Indian community. She truly believes in empowering and helping others and gives back to the community whenever she can. Her passion also involves producing fashion shows and pageants. She believes these platforms enhances confidence and boosts self- esteem. She is the co-founder and former board member of non-profit organization, DIWA – Detroit Indian Women Association, where “Empowered Women Empower Women”. She also serves as board of advisor in The Indian Scene, a digital Indian magazine. She has also done events to empower youth with their talent of dancing and singing, which had raise funds for Schoolcraft College food pantry. Rachna is also a co-founder of upcoming pageantry “Michigan Ambassador Pageant” for all ages. During the pandemic lockdown, she selflessly started a Mask Mission, over the period of 4 months, with the help of 45 plus volunteers, and produced more than 11,000 masks and gowns that were donated back out to the community. Together, their efforts raised close to $16,000 which helped the mission to run successfully.
Ewelina is a single mother of her beautiful 15-year-old daughter, Brooke. As a laboratory medical professional for 24 years, working in the medical field, she sees the reality of life every single day and understands how one doctor’s visit can change one’s life forever and how the right people in one’s life can make the biggest difference. Ewelina graduated from St. Clair College as a Medical Laboratory Technologist and has a Bachelor of Business Administration degree from Rochester College and has worked for Quest Diagnostics for 22 years. She now works for Mercy Oakland Hospital in the lab assisting in saving lives and curing illnesses. Ewelina’s family came from Poland in 1989 on Political Asylum, because of her father Herbert Rennert’s Involvement in the Solidarity Movement against Communism. In her spare time, she enjoys spending time with her daughter and volunteering in the community.
Linda is mother of 3 children and is a diligent community supporter. She has a Bachelor of Arts in Business Administration with a minor in Communications Media from Stephens College. She has years of experience dedicating her time and talents to Christ Child of Detroit’s Bingo with Boys project as well as in the business industry in multiple fields. Linda has broad experience from working with a public accounting firm, working with non-profit organizations as the budget manager to local Michigan staffing firms. With this vast knowledge of different industries and brand personalities, she has multiple levels of expertise she brings to the Glamorous Moms Foundation.
